Ingredients :
200 gm Paneer
1 Teaspoon Butter
1 Teaspoon Oil
2 Green Chillies chopped
3 cloves garlic chopped
1/2 inch garlic chopped
4 dried red chillies
2 cloves
1/3 grated dry coconut
3 black peppercorns
1 bay leave
1/2 Teaspoon sesame seeds
1/2 inch cinnamon stick
1 cardamom
2 onions finely chopped
2 tomatoes pureed
1 Teaspoon Red chilli powder
1 Teaspoon turmeric powder
1/2 Teaspoon garam masala
Salt to taste
Freshly chopped coriander
Method :
- Firstly fry the paneer in a pan until slightly golden brown on all sides and remove it and keep it a side
- In the same pan add 1/2 teaspoon oil and roast dried red chillies,cloves,black peppercorns,bay leaf,cinnamon stick and cardamom and mix well.
- Transfer this roasted masala to a grinder and grindwell
- Heat up a pan and add butter to it
- Add garlic, ginger and green chillies and saute it
- add chopped onion and cook well
- add tomato puree,turmeric powder,redchilli powder and salt and mix it well
- cook till the gravy is thick
- now add the kolhapuri masal which we grinded before to the pan and stir for two minutes
- Add the fried paneer and mix gently
- garnish the gravy with chopped coriander
